Major Duties: | |
(a) | To support the planning, development and implementation of the carbon reduction strategies for the VTC; |
(b) | To develop and review tender / project proposals, budgets, progress reports and evaluation / statistical reports for environmental and sustainable development initiatives, such as carbon footprint reduction plan, carbon audits, installation of solar photovoltaic systems, and other energy saving measures, as well as green campuses development projects, etc.; |
(c) | To manage, liaise and coordinate with consultants, contractors, external and internal stakeholders in the planning and implementation of relevant environmental and sustainability projects / initiatives; |
(d) | To prepare, gather, consolidate and analyse data and information related to environmental sustainability, facilitating planning, development and reporting for continuous enhancement; |
(e) | To organise, manage, and implement projects / activities of the Office; and |
(f) | To provide secretarial support for relevant committees and working groups. |
Requirements: | |
(a) | A recognised degree in relevant fields including Engineering, Building Services, Environmental Studies, Sustainability-related disciplines or equivalent; |
(b) | At least 5 years’ relevant work experience in project management and planning and implementation of environmental / green building / sustainability / carbon reduction projects or equivalent; |
(c) | Good communication, facilitation, analytical mind and problem-solving skills; and |
(d) | Strong initiative, meticulous and a good team player with the ability to work independently under pressure. |
Applicants with below qualification(s) / practical experiences would be an advantage: | |
(i) | Membership of a relevant professional instutition. |
(ii) | BEAM Professional (BEAM Pro) or other equivalent qualification (e.g. LEED Accredited Professional, WELL Accredited Professional). |
(iii) | Solid experience in environmental audits, green building assessments, and planning and implementation of environmental sustainability initiatives in sizable organisations such as green technology and energy management opportunities. |

(2) | Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
