Assess existing database environments and define migration paths to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Optimize SQL performance in cloud environments.

Implement and manage cloud-based SQL services and databases.

Develop and maintain automation scripts for database deployment, management, and monitoring (using Python, Bash, or PowerShell).

Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration.

Monitor database performance and implement necessary adjustments.

Ensure data security and compliance during migration and in the cloud.

Higher Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on SQL databases.

Proficiency in SQL and database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL).

Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation.

Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) is a plus.
