老闆難搞?教你打職場心理戰(上)

提起老闆,一般都用上這些形容詞:情緒化、偏心、善變、心腸硬、小氣……職場並非無好人,只是出現機率很低,在鬥智鬥勇、汰弱留強的遊戲規則中,好人通常不是玩不下去自動離場,就是莫名其妙地被攆出局,運氣好點的話,或者能升到權力中心周圍,但真正能坐上主管寶座的「好人」認真不多。

 

不過老闆都是人,也有七情六欲,背負壓力亦不小,如果你能好好理解老闆的心理,學會見招拆招,職場就能風平浪靜。

 

 

1. 沉默無語時……

你向老闆推介一條「絕橋」,本以為會獲得稱讚,怎料到他卻毫無表情地低頭,既沒有說好,但也不是反對,這陣令人窒息的沉默讓你手足無措,忐忑不安︰難道自己闖禍了,說了不該說的話?

 

冷靜冷靜!稍安勿躁,情況未必像你想像那般糟。最大可能的老闆正全神貫注地思考你的提議。他需要一點時間消化內容,評估建議可行性。始終老闆要為公司未來負責,不能說變就變,決策前要三思。

 

 

當然老闆這份遲疑亦可能有有詐,因為在溝通技巧上來說,恰如其分的沉默是向對方宣示權力的方式。老闆有不少難言之隱,剛好你的方案觸動痛處,他無法向你解釋,惟有以沉默擊退你。

 

遇到這種情形,還是保持冷靜,萬一老闆真的在考驗你,也能向他展現你的勇氣,即是情況混沌不明,你都不會自亂陣腳。你可在腦中計時,如果老闆沉默超過十秒,那麼幾乎肯定他在等待你提供更多資料,以利他作出決策或提出看法。你不妨再多做說明,再來一招「反守為攻」,拋出「還有其他需要我補充或解釋之處嗎?」等問題,打破沉默。

 

 

2. 挑起「內戰」

公司要成立新部門,講明會從你的部門中選人。這時老闆一聲令下:「每人交一份針對新部門的計劃書給我,寫得愈好,入選機會愈大。」於是人人都做,還連平日最懶的員工亦然。

 

人有惰性,除了嚴格督促外,適時給予甜頭、刺激亦是必要。老闆抓住人性弱點,以職位當作籌碼,希望大家竭盡所能爭取,激發鬥志,最終不論「肥羊」落在誰手,因競爭產生的戰果,都會令公司成為大贏家。(下期續)
