Responsibilities:
- Lead initiatives to enhance fleet efficiency, safety, and reliability through strategic partnerships and continuous communication with manufacturers.
- Act as the primary engineering liaison with the Transport Department’s Bus Safety Department, ensuring that all projects and type approval applications comply with regulatory requirements and exceed customer expectations.
- Manage new bus tenders from inception to completion, overseeing the seamless delivery process of new buses.
- Spearhead key fleet modification campaigns, ensuring all modifications adhere to industrial and legal standards while providing significant improvements to passenger experience and operational efficiency.
- Establish and define technical standards to promote excellence within the fleet.
- Pioneer and implement innovations in new products, safety measures, and technology.
- Promote a culture of unwavering commitment to health and safety, engineering legislation, and company policies.
- Foster effective communication among colleagues to ensure smooth collaboration.
- Stay updated on industry advancements, continually enhancing your engineering skills to remain at the forefront of the field.
- Ensure the prompt and accurate completion of engineering records, maintaining a high standard of documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
- Over 7 years of experience in fleet management, vehicle engineering, or maintenance operations
- A strong passion for mentoring and developing team members to improve overall efficiency
- Proven leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects and teams simultaneously
- Knowledge of local regulations regarding Road Traffic Ordinance, type approval processes, and fleet modification programs
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with government agencies, internal teams, and external partners
- Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese
