Responsibilities:
- Assist in providing advice to business and support units on the operational risk, reputation risk and strategic risk (the "relevant risks") of the Bank
- Implement the Operational Risk Management Policies and Procedures, including the related systems, of the Bank
- Liaise with relevant risk owners and/or units in the second line of defence to deal with management of the relevant risks
- Review the assessment of the relevant risks done by the product owner for new products and services in the new Product/Service Approval Process
- Review and provide recommendations on the controls, workflows and policies and procedures prepared by risk owners for management of the relevant risks
- Prepare risk reports for management review
- Take up ad hoc tasks assigned by management from time to time
Requirements:
- Degree holder in Risk Management, Accounting, Finance or related disciplines
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in operational risk management obtained from banks, financial institutions, Big-4 consulting firms, financial regulators, etc.
- Good analytical skill as well as effective communication and writing skills in both English and Chinese
- Basic knowledge of banking operations and the local regulatory requirements on the relevant risks, e.g. HKMA SPM OR-1, OR-2, RR-1, SR-1 etc.
- Good knowledge of using Microsoft Office and related applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
