Job Description:
- Oversee the management and control of the bank's general ledger accounts, including establishing control procedures and conducting routine reviews of accounting entries to ensure compliance with the bank's accounting policies.
- Support the supervision of the accounting team in daily operations and ensure timely month-end closing to meet reporting deadlines.
- Collaborate with business units and frontline teams to address issues related to accounting entries.
- Drive the development and implementation of new control frameworks in response to regulatory changes or new business requirements.
- Provide clear guidance on control implications and assess the impact of new business initiatives or products.
- Lead discussions on change initiatives, effectively articulate user requirements, and contribute input and solutions for new business, products, or initiatives.
- Participate in system enhancements and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Review account control policies to ensure alignment with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or relevant disciplines;
- Professional qualifications in HKICPA, ACCA, or equivalent is preferred;
- At least 5 years bank's account control experience;
- Strong communication and analytical skills;
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and practical skill in VBA & SQL is an advantage;
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure and meet tight dealines;
- Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese, fluent in Putonghua is preferable.
