Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations to project teams regarding IT infrastructure, advise/guide on backup and recovery procedures
- Lead a team of system/network/database administrators, computer operations, and technical specialists to implement, maintain, and support large-scale IT infrastructures.
- Perform daily LAN administration and operations, and maintain an updated inventory of hardware and software.
- Design cost-effective and efficient network architectures for the system, also develop a flexible system infrastructure that allows for future growth and expansion.
- Coordinate with vendors for the delivery, installation, testing, and support of system hardware and software (servers, SANs, etc.) throughout the project lifecycle.
- Create technical operation procedures to support the system's functionality and maintenance.
- Collaborate with hardware/software vendors and customers to design and implement system infrastructure, including operating system administration, system security, clustering, SAN storage, and backup and disaster recovery procedures.
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related disciplines
- Holder of ITIL or PMP certification is preferred
- Minimum 12 years of post-qualification IT experiences, including at least 6 years of experiences in infrastructure design and implementation. Preferable in Government sector
- Solid knowledge in network design and implementation; managing AIX, Windows, Cloud, Security, SAN and Backup solutions
- At least specialized in one of the technical areas such as system, network, security, data centre, storage etc.
- Experienced in working on complex problems or projects
- Experienced in bidding for medium to large projects
- Completed more than one cycle of project development in large scale projects
- Strong team leading and people management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of users and team members
- Excellent documentation techniques and analytical skills
- Initiative, customer-focused, independent and able to work under pressure
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
