Responsibilities
Ensuring statutory compliancy under various corporate laws including Hong Kong Companies Ordinance
Assisting with day-to-day contractual reviews, negotiations, and drafting of legal documents, including standardization of legal documents
Assisting in drafting and reviewing Legal & Compliance Policies at Group level
Liaising with various departments to provide legal advice and complete corporate projects
Liaising with global legal teams and external advisors on ongoing compliance matters and new projects
Presentation of legal issues to management together with analysis, options, and recommendations
Provide advice and support on handling litigation matters
Liaise and coordinate with external lawyers and third-party consultants to obtain legal supporting advice, services, and information
Keep Management of the Company update about any new law, rules, and regulations etc. and/or any change in existing laws, rules, and regulations
Coordinate with and visit various government and other statutory authorities for various legal and administrative issues
Good knowledge of all corporate laws including labor laws to be able to manage and advise on compliance of applicable corporate laws
Work on ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the Management aligned with the vision and strategy of the company
Requirements
Degree or above
Qualified Hong Kong solicitor
Minimum 5 – 6 years of post-qualification
Working experience in-house commercial environment is preferred.
Excellent command of written and spoken English and Cantonese
Keen and curious attitude with willingness to learn. "Getting the job done well" attitude is very important
Excellent drafting skills with a high level of accuracy in work
Attentive to details and a strong commercial acumen
Excellent decision making and ownership (responsibility & accountability) of work
