Responsibilities:
- Oversee AML/CFT controls and conduct risk assessment
- Provide daily advisory support on AML/CFT matters to first Line of Defense
- Review Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for high-risk clients
- Lead investigations into suspicious transactions and prepare Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs)
- Support the implementation and maintenance of AML and Name Screening systems
- Proactively identify and resolve AML/CFT issues with stakeholders
- Maintain, prepare and update AML/CFT policies and procedures, driving implementation and enhancing controls
- Communicate with regulators and law enforcement
- Conduct AML/CFT training sessions
- Manage ad-hoc assignments and projects as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration or related discipline
- Minimum of 10 years solid AML/CFT compliance experience, preferably with significant exposure in Authorized Insurers in Hong Kong
- Strong understanding of AML/CFT related regulatory requirements and legislations, analyze complex regulatory requirements and develop effective compliance controls
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management skills
- ACAMS or equivalent qualification is strongly preferred
