Responsibilities
- Overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's network infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, VPNs, and wireless networks.
- Implementing and managing network security measures to protect the organization's data and systems from cyber threats and unauthorized access.
- Monitoring network performance and ensuring optimal uptime, reliability, and speed of the network.
- Identifying and resolving network issues, such as connectivity problems, slow performance, and network outages.
- Planning and executing network upgrades, expansions, and migrations to accommodate the organization's growth and changing needs.
- Working with external vendors and service providers to procure network equipment, services, and support as needed.
- Leading and managing a team of network administrators and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in network administration or a related role, with a track record of progressively increasing responsibilities.
- Industry certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CompTIA Network+, or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) may be required or preferred.
- Proficiency in network protocols, technologies, and equipment, as well as network security principles and practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members, stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot network issues and implement effective solutions.
