Job Responsibilities
- Management & Development: Oversee all strategic and tactical aspects of Data Center Critical Environment management.
- Service Delivery: Ensure 100% compliance with SLAs and KPIs, and successfully deliver contracted services.
- 24/7 Availability: Be on call to manage and rectify all issues/incidents.
- Incident Management: Communicate and coordinate activities and on-site staff during complex incidents, drive root cause analysis, and approve incident resolutions.
- Training & Records: Ensure all staff are properly trained, maintain records, and provide refresher training.
- Risk Management: Prepare risk assessments, work plans, and procedures to mitigate service disruptions.
- Compliance: Adhere to health, safety obligations, and relevant regulations and standards.
- Technical Support: Collaborate with customer engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
- Project Delivery: Work with IT, design, and construction teams to deliver data center projects within budget.
- PUE & ESG: Manage Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) aspects of the data center.
- Deputy Role: Act as deputy country head of critical facility in the absence of the global head.
- Change Approval: Approve changes within the data center to ensure maximum availability and safety.
- Safety Procedures: Ensure adherence to all safety procedures during work.
- Technical Expertise: Serve as a technical subject matter expert for complex issues.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Design & Construction teams on project delivery and transition.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Oversee the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Building Services/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 7+ years directly managing a data center.
- 10+ years managing geo-dispersed teams preferably across multiple time zones.
- Be available for 24/7 on call to manage and rectify all issues/incidents
- Engineering background with focus on MEP systems a huge plus
- Exposure to Automation/ IOT deployment or Smart Data Centre integration experience a plus.
- Experience to manage the service provision to cloud service provider a plus.
- Experience in various workflow management system (Incident management, change management and problem management).
- More experience and higher qualifications would be considered Senior Manager.
