Responsibilities
Team & Client Leadership
- Manage a teams in Hong Kong and oversee, driving performance via coaching, KPI tracking, and tailored training programs.
- Strengthen client/auditor relationships by ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting and resolving complex accounting inquiries.
Compliance & Reporting Excellence
- Oversee preparation/review of financial statements (IFRS/HKFRS), ensuring 100% adherence to deadlines and regulatory standards.
- Monitor vPoint database workflows and enforce strict internal controls to maintain audit readiness.
Process Optimization
- Streamline accounting processes (e.g., automation, transaction monitoring) to reduce reporting cycles
- Revise Hong Kong client accounting manuals and align practices with evolving regulatory demands.
Strategic Oversight
- Collaborate with senior management on resource allocation, budgeting, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Deliver weekly/monthly progress reports to executives, highlighting team metrics and project milestones.
Qualifications
- Education/Certification: CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.
- Experience: 10+ years in client accounting (audit firms, banks, or trust/corporate services).
- Leadership: Proven success managing a number of accounting professionals in cross-border settings.
- Technical: Advanced Excel, ERP systems, and workflow tools (vPoint proficiency preferred).
- Languages: Fluent English (required); Cantonese/Mandarin (strongly preferred).
