Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations and staff management for either Chinese or Western fine-dining concepts
- Maintain and enhance service standards consistent with Michelin-level or premium Chinese hospitality expectations
- Lead, train, and motivate the front-of-house team to deliver outstanding guest experiences
- Coordinate and supervise reservations, seating/private rooms, and guest flow
- Handle guest feedback and resolve any service issues promptly and professionally
- Support inventory management, ordering, and cost control, including specialty items and beverages
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
- Assist with scheduling, payroll, and administrative tasks as needed
- Collaborate closely with the culinary team to ensure seamless service and communication
- Help plan and execute special events, banquets, or promotions as required
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Assistant Manager or Supervisory role in a Chinese fine-dining or French/Western Michelin-starred restaurant
- Deep knowledge of either Chinese dining etiquette/banquet standards, or Western fine-dining service and wine/food pairing
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a team in a high-pressure, luxury environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Professional appearance and genuine passion for hospitality
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Proficiency in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is an advantage
