Our client, , Global insurance company, is now looking for Lead IT Project Manager to join their technical development teams.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the Program Management of the Technology projects across Asia supporting various business functions (Actuarial, Finance, Treasury, Compliance, Risk, Marketing, HR and others) with the following accountabilities:
HM need Project Manager with minimum 15 years work experience.
- Need seasoned Project Manager with excellent project management skills, who has extensive experience with Tech/IT projects. HM is not open to candidates who does not have solid experience with Tech/IT projects.
- Must come from tech b/g such as coding/development/testing.
- Proficient in English.
- Interact with Business Users, gather the high-level scope of the Project.
- Support business in preparing the Business case or BoW (book of Work) exercises.
- Follow the Asia PMO guidelines and Global GFT guidelines for projects.
- Create/Support in creating the required resource strategy and onboarding.
- Manage stakeholder / sponsor expectations and ensure project is delivered
- Prepare/ communicate all project related plans e.g. Project/ quality/ communication
- Work with IT teams to draw the complete IT project release roadmap/ plan.
- Manage the multiple workstreams/ country teams and oversee the SDLC process to ensure E2E delivery of Project outcome from concept to production.
- Set guidelines to ensure that project deliverables are following Manulife guidelines.
- Ensure all project deliverable documents are created – as example Detailed data mapping document, Test cases, Test plan, System delivery plan, Handover etc.
- Ensure all project milestones (scope/ cost /time) are managed and communicated.
- Preparation/review of the SOW (statement of work) documents including IT budgets.
- Negotiate/manage vendor deliverables (vendor mgmt.. from project perspective)
- Interact with RO Finance/ expense teams to ensure charge-outs are done
Experience & Qualification
- Degree holder of Information System/Technology or related discipline.
- In-depth Project/ Program management experience (at least 15 years) .
- Experience in leading complex and large IT system roll-outs in HK or Asia market.
- Experienced in senior stakeholder management e.g. holding IT/Business steerco.
- Well versed in PMO processes – ODF etc.
- Experience in working with Global/Regional/Local projects will be preferred.
- Well versed in all SDLC phases. Experienced in leading traditional/ agile projects.
- Ability to work with a variety of Asia regional and Global stakeholders (IT and Business) and build trusted partnerships.
- Hands-on in preparing/reviewing good quality IT project management documents.
- Strong experience in managing virtual teams across Asia and Global.
- Experience in life insurance administration system and finance industry preferred.
- Having an IT background (e.g developer, QA etc), knowledge of database (SQL) will be preferred.
- Project Management/ Agile management certified, is preferred.
- Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skill.
- Self Starter, Can work with minimum directions, Faster learner and be able to acquire new technology quickly.
