DNA Recruit Partners is collaborating with an MNC trading and commodity group. They are currently looking for a Senior Trade Finance Officer to join their F&A team in Hong Kong. Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end LC transactions, including issuance, amendment, negotiation, and document checking, ensuring full compliance with UCP600 and other relevant trade finance regulations.
- Conducted Foreign Exchange SWAP transactions and handled trade-related financing instruments.
- Oversee Export Bills operations to ensure timely and accurate settlement, and liaise closely with banks, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Monitor and manage daily cash flow and loan arrangements (borrowings, settlements, time deposits) to maintain liquidity and optimize financing costs.
- Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans with a focus on trade finance inputs and LC-related cost analysis.
- Perform in-depth variance and trend analysis related to trade finance activities, providing clear insights to senior management.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date maintenance of general ledger accounts, especially those tied to LC and trade finance transactions, and conduct timely bank reconciliations and payment processes (e-banking).
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline LC documentation procedures, recommend process improvements, and ensure adherence to international import/export business standards.
- Assist in ad hoc assignments and special projects related to trade finance and LC operations as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in accounting/audit/financial executive positions, with a strong emphasis on LC handling, trade finance operations, and familiarity with UCP600 guidelines.
- A proven track record in Trading & Commodity or Logistic companies is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrable experience in Foreign Exchange transactions and a solid understanding of international trade terms and practices.
- Strong knowledge in accounting principles, cash flow management, and trade finance documentation.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with international import/export workflows and e-banking systems.
- Willingness to work overtime when required, and flexibility in adapting to a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
