Role Overview

As an FP&A Specialist, you will drive company’s financial planning and analysis efforts, with a focus on supporting our expansion into Southeast Asia. You will analyze financial data, develop budgets, and provide strategic insights to align with SEA market dynamics, ensuring sustainable growth and compliance with regional regulations.

 

FP& A Manager (60K)(Education Tech)
Responsibilities
      • Financial Modeling and Analysis: Build and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, incorporating SEA-specific factors such as currency fluctuations and regional cost structures.

      • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with leadership to align financial goals with SEA market opportunities, including leveraging incentives in high-growth markets like Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand.

      • Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring compliance with SEA regulatory standards and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) reporting trends.

      • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with regional teams to integrate local market data into financial plans, addressing cultural and economic nuances across SEA countries.

      • Market Insights: Provide data-driven insights on SEA’s education technology trends to support the comany growth strategy.

Qualifications
      • Experience: 5-10 years in FP&A, accounting, or related finance roles, with at least 2-3 years in SEA markets, preferably in education or technology sectors. Big 4 accounting experience, MBA, or CPA preferred.

      • Skills:

        • Proficiency in financial modeling and tools (e.g., Excel, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems).

        • Knowledge of SEA financial regulations, tax structures, and ESG reporting.

        • Strong analytical and communication skills to bridge cultural differences in SEA business environments.

      • SEA Expertise: Familiarity with SEA’s economic landscape, including high-growth sectors (e.g., education technology, e-commerce) and cultural business practices (e.g., relationship-driven negotiations in Malaysia or Indonesia).
