Job Description:
- Focused on developing, supporting, and managing the campus network infrastructure. Leading the Wi-Fi team in the design, implementation, and support of campus Wi-Fi projects.
- Managing day-to-day Wi-Fi operations, maintenance, and incident resolution to ensure reliable and high-quality service.
- Playing a crucial role in IT projects related to network infrastructure, including Wi-Fi, wired networks, and cybersecurity.
- Staying updated on advancements in network technology and recommending necessary updates to meet the University’s needs.
- Collaborating with internal units and external contractors for network installation and maintenance.
- Performing scheduled maintenance during non-office hours as needed.
- Maintaining standardized documentation, including operational manuals, procedural documents, and network diagrams.
- Communicating effectively with management and business stakeholders.
- Undertaking any other duties assigned by the Director of Office or their delegates.
Job Requirement:
- A recognized degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least eight years of relevant work experience, with a preference for at least five years operating various brands of Wi-Fi systems (1000+ access points, preferably with experience in Aruba products) in campus or large organizations.
- Extensive experience in designing, migrating, and implementing Wi-Fi systems in campus or large environments.
- Proven expertise in managing BGP and OSPF networks.
- Proven experience in network infrastructure design, including firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
- A forward-thinking mindset to optimize network systems for long-term success.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work as a team player.
- The ability to communicate effectively with different parties regarding project and day-to-day support issues.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Mandarin.
