Head of Operations ( Top - Tier Securities Firm )
Responsibilities: 
  • Lead and oversee staff to run all operational activities, including settlement and dealing activities to ensure all processing are complied with regulatory requirements 
  • Foster collaboration, work closely with Interdepartmental and take proactive measures to ensure dealing and back-office operations are carried out efficiently and seamlessly for local and international markets 
  • Ensure the operation procedures and workflow are smooth, efficient and effective to settle all the deals promptly and accurately 
  • Responsible for designing and reviewing policy and procedure manuals 
  • Participate in system development projects in particular during user requirement collection, UAT, system migration and deployment 
  • Identify and pursue technology initiatives to reduce manual workload of all activities 
  • Stay ahead of market trends and emerging opportunities, proactively identifying and capitalizing on them to drive operational excellence 
  • Liaise with external parties such as brokers, custodians, clearing agents and in-house parties to adapt the changing market conditions 
Requirements: 
  • Degree holder in Business Administration, Finance or related fields 
  • At least 8 years' supervisory experience and knowledgeable in dealing, settlement, clearing and operation with relevant experience working in licensed corporations. 
  • Possess strong management and operational capabilities, with in-depth knowledge of back-office operations and risk management for global markets. 
  • Knowledgeable in the applications of financial technology utilized in trading and settlement systems, including experience with system testing and development. 
  • Have comprehensive understanding of and ability to comply with the relevant SFO and Exchange regulations and rules. 
  • Strong leadership, problem solving and interpersonal skills with a good sense of responsibility 
  • Fluent in both spoken and written Mandarin, Cantonese and English
