Duties and Responsibilities:
For System Support :
- To provide support and management for all system and network infrastructure components. This includes UNIX system administration, hardware setup and configuration, performance monitoring and capacity planning.
- To provide software support to end-users through problem identification and resolution, escalation of problems to senior management and the system vendors, also to conduct software upgrades and implementations.
- To support the telecommunications network for current and future requirements so that a reliable service is provided to our clients to meet the required performance levels.
- To evaluate and recommend new technology items that apply to the company, and incorporate as appropriate in the technology forward plan.
- To provide 7x24 2nd-level support to our facility services providers on related technical matters.
For Application Support :
- Manage and control the schedule of routine cronjobs and ad-hoc batch jobs.
- First-line support to the online application system and overnight batch jobs. And conduct an investigation to application/message failure.
- Monitor the performance of XML transactions and handle failure messages.
- Perform data archive and retrieval, and job submission.
- Conduct application release in a controlled environment.
- Prepare and maintain procedures for newly released applications and associated operations instructions.
- Monitoring application performance and generating application performance reports.
- Writing associated Linux shell scripts and SQL statements to generate reports.
- It is expected that ad hoc out-of-hours work will be required to handle system cutovers and critical applications/batch problems.
For Network :
- Provision of technical support to internal users and related services.
- Responsible for daily operation on all aspects of support, maintenance issues and LAN room environment.
- Conduct product evaluation and recommend the best solution.
- Perform administration and support tasks on network security on LAN infrastructure.
- System administration and support in Microsoft Windows, Linux systems, and Microsoft Exchange Server.
- Handle incidents and work on a call basis.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar credential.
- At least 1 year of working experience in a similar or related role
- Strong technical knowledge in PC support.
- MS Exchange/O365 support experience
- Knowledgeable in Linux/Windows system administration & hardware integration is an advantagePreferably with hands-on experience in system and network security – firewall, intrusion detection system, and data encryption products.
- Knowledge of web and internet technologies and experience in web application development and programming are additional advantages.
- Fresh graduates are also considered.
