Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the quantity surveying team in delivering accurate and timely cost estimates for E&M works in data center projects.
- Prepare, review, and manage tender documents, including bills of quantities and specifications.
- Conduct cost analysis, feasibility studies, and risk assessments for E&M systems, ensuring alignment with project budgets.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective solutions and value engineering.
- Monitor project costs and provide regular financial reporting, including forecasts and variance analysis.
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve favorable terms.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in the quantity surveying field.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior quantity surveyors, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field; a professional qualification (MRICS or MHKIS) is preferred.
- Minimum 12 - 15 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a strong focus on E&M works, particularly in data center projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale E&M works within budget and schedule constraints.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Cantonese is a must.
