We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Quantity Surveying to join the esteemed development team. The ideal candidate will lead our quantity surveying department and oversee all aspects of cost management for our commercial projects in both Hong Kong and PRC.

Head of QS - PRC Projects

Responsibilities:

            • Lead and manage the quantity surveying team, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency in all deliverables.
            • Oversee the preparation of accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for commercial projects.
            • Conduct value engineering and cost-benefit analysis to optimize project costs while maintaining quality standards.
            • Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure effective cost control and project delivery.
            • Manage contractual negotiations and administration, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
            • Provide guidance on procurement strategies and supplier selection to achieve best value for the company.
            • Monitor project progress and provide timely updates to senior management regarding financial performance and forecasts.
            • Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to enhance collaboration and project success.
            • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in quantity surveying.

Requirements:

            • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
            • Minimum 15 years of experience in quantity surveying, primarily in commercial projects.
            • Proven experience in managing large-scale projects with a focus on cost management.
            • Exposure to projects in the People’s Republic of China (PRC) is a MUST.
            • Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes.
            • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
            • Ability to lead and work independantly, fostering a positive work environment.
            • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
