Ranked Fortune Global 500. They are now looking for a Senior Accountant. (Fortune Global 500 I with 13 months Double Pay + DB). Senior accountant (General Insurance Group, IFRS 17)
Benefits:

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Finance Manager on full set of Accounts (Including Month End Closing, Management and Group Level Reporting)
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirements specific to the general insurance industry
  • Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Internal Controls, establish and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy 
  • Ensure that financial statements comply with IFRS 17 standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay updated on changes in IFRS guidelines and ensure the organization's accounting practices remain compliant of financial data.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement improvements and lead audit processes, liaising with external auditors
  • Assist with annual audit and tax filing, conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and performance evaluation
  • Ad hoc tasks assigned by Manager 
Requirements:  
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Professional qualification of recognized accounting bodies are preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Insurance accounting, perferably within an insurance company or a related financial institution 
  • Participate in the work related to the implementation of RBC
  • Understanding of IFRS 17 principles and guidelines is essential.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with good written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Good leadership skills and can work in a team
  • Attention to detail and able to work under pressure
  • Committed and able to meet tight deadlines
  • Proficient in Excel, Well versed in Sun Accounts system is preferred
