Charity Funding Manager [NGO | Funding-related | 2-Years Renewable Contract]

About this job.

  • Assess Donation Applications:
  • Evaluate donation applications for support-worthiness by analyzing social issues, applicant backgrounds, and proposed program feasibility, impact, and budgeting.
  • Liaise with Applicants:
  • Communicate with applicants regarding proposal vetting processes while managing relevant administrative tasks to ensure smooth application handling.
  • Support Drafting of Papers:
  • Assist Executives and Assistant Executives in preparing donation documents and annexes to ensure comprehensive and accurate submissions.
  • Engage Stakeholders in Projects:
  • Facilitate the initiation and development of Trust-initiated Projects, Priority 1 Projects, and other significant initiatives requiring stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage Annual Donations:
  • Oversee annual donations ranging from $100 to $300 million related to key projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Conduct Research on Social Issues:
  • Perform research on social issues and initiatives to support the development of new projects and effective theme strategies.
  • Monitor Approved Projects:
  • Track approved projects, ensuring timely implementation while assessing change requests and preparing necessary documentation for internal approvals.
  • Liaise with External Partners:
  • Collaborate with external partners and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle to ensure cohesive communication and project success.
  • Participate in Ad-hoc Projects:
  • Engage in various ad-hoc projects, preparing presentation materials, speeches, and miscellaneous documents as required for different initiatives.
  • Organize Charities Team Initiatives:
  • Support the organization of Charities team activities, including culture transformation initiatives, retreats, and stakeholder engagement planning and execution.

About you.

  • Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification is necessary for applicants.
  • Experience Needed:
  • Four to eight years’ relevant experience in related fields.
  • Communication Skills:
  • Strong communication skills required in both English and Chinese.
  • Writing Proficiency:
  • Excellent writing abilities in English and Chinese are essential.
  • Passion for Charity:
  • Demonstrated passion and strong interest in charity work preferred.
