Job Description:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the management of housing maintenance projects. Your expertise will help ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality. Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and managing cost estimates and budgets for housing maintenance projects.
- Conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments.
- Overseeing the procurement process and managing supplier relationships.
- Monitoring project costs and providing regular financial reports.
- Collaborating with project managers and site teams to ensure effective cost control.
- Valuing completed work and arranging payments to subcontractors.
- Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and regulations.
- Assisting in the negotiation of contracts and variations.
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in housing maintenance projects is essential.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes.
- Proficiency in cost estimation and financial management software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- A proactive approach to managing projects and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Relevant professional membership (e.g., RICS, HKIS) is a plus but not mandatory.
