The Role:
- Assist the Safety Manager in implementing and monitoring safety management systems across all civil projects.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, particularly for MTR projects.
- Provide guidance and support to site management teams on safety-related issues, including risk assessments and hazard identification.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for site personnel, promoting a strong safety culture.
- Participate in safety meetings, contribute to incident investigations, and ensure timely reporting and follow-up on safety issues.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, safety consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with local safety regulations.
- Monitor safety performance metrics and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
The Candidate:
- Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8-10 years of experience in safety management within the construction industry, with specific experience in MTR projects preferred.
- Strong knowledge of local safety regulations, best practices, and industry standards.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant safety certifications - RSO is a MUST.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Cantonese is a MUST.
