Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute the maintenance and management of the IP data network, ensuring effective follow-up on backbone network engineering projects.
- Coordinate and implement optimization strategies for the IP data network and develop the network management system.
- Draft and establish professional maintenance specifications and processes, and implement a network quality index system along with assessment methods.
- Lead and manage the approval process for significant network adjustments.
- Collaborate with the Group's Cloud Network Operation Department to configure equipment for the international backbone network and address upgrade challenges during circuit testing.
- Provide technical support for the network operations department, focusing on internal infrastructure, key clients, and major projects.
- Plan and conduct research on emerging technologies, ensuring thorough verification, testing, and promotion of the current network systems.
- Lead and execute major departmental initiatives while completing additional tasks as assigned by leadership.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Communication Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in carrier-level network implementation or maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of various networking principles, including routing, switching, and security technologies.
- Proficient understanding of network protocols such as BGP, ISIS, and MPLS.
- Excellent technical analysis and independent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Mandarin.
