Our client is a leading global payment technology firm enabling millions of financial transactions daily for 3+ million companies and over 600 million cardholders worldwide.
OVERALL OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLE
The Assistant Sales Manager will: a) generate revenue by acquiring new customers and nurturing referral partner relationships, b) manage partnerships with banks, non-banks, POS vendors, developers, and SI vendors, c) assist in closing new partnership deals independently or with the Senior Manager, Sales of Third Party Partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and manage a robust pipeline of new and existing referral partners
- Provide regular updates and training to partners to maintain agreed referral targets
- Achieve business targets by identifying high-potential customers/markets and managing sales executives' performance
- Conduct effective negotiations with merchants and referral partners, while developing team's closing capabilities
- Build and nurture strategic merchant and partner relationships
- Ensure merchant and partner onboarding documentation complies with business requirements
- Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure operational excellence and proper service delivery
- Forecast sales potential from existing/new markets and identify supporting marketing activities
- Collaborate with management on product development and revenue opportunities
- Participate in sales meetings and training initiatives
- Stay informed about competitor activities, industry standards, market trends and technologies
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Business, Management or Engineering degree
- Minimum 3 years sales experience in financial services with proven results
- Channel sales or partner management experience preferred
- Credit card business sales experience a plus
- Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies
- Strong presentation skills for diverse audiences
- Excellent organization, communication, negotiation and problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated and adaptable to changing work conditions
- Independent worker requiring minimal supervision
- Proven ability to prioritize workload effectively
- Results-driven with consistent target achievement
- Proficient in English and Chinese communication
