Responsibilities:
- Demonstrated expertise in underwriting various lines of general insurance products.
- Identify and tap into business opportunities, manage existing portfolios, and attain sales and retention objectives within the professional broker channels to ensure a profitable portfolio.
- Conduct regular visits to both potential and current brokers to foster and sustain strong business relationships.
- Optimize sales revenue while adhering to underwriting guidelines.
- Provide supervision and mentorship to subordinates to enhance their skills.
- Analyze and oversee the performance of business sources including loss ratios, growth rates, etc., and recommend necessary actions to superiors.
- Collaborate with Accounts and producers on credit control matters.
- Prepare account summaries and statistics for management reporting
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher educational qualification.
- Possession of recognized insurance professional certifications such as ANZIIF/ACII or higher.
- 5 years of working experience in the General Insurance industry, preferably with a focus on Casualty & Properties, with a background in underwriting
- Ability to cultivate and reinforce relationships with brokers.
- Proficiency in developing underwriting guidelines and creating pricing models.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Cantonese.
- Strong market intelligence and awareness
- Self-motivated with the ability to perform well under pressure.
- Customer-focused mindset.
