Clerk of Works - Developer
Our client, a reputable property developer with extensive experience in residential projects, is seeking a Senior Clerk of Works to join their team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of construction work across various residential developments
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to assess workmanship, materials, and overall project progress.
  • Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and project managers to address any quality issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure adherence to design and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, inspection findings, and correspondence.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to site teams and contractors to promote best practices in construction quality.
  • Assist in the preparation of progress reports and quality assurance documentation for stakeholders.
  • Identify potential risks and issues related to construction quality and propose corrective actions as needed.
  • Foster strong relationships with all project stakeholders to promote a collaborative and efficient working environment.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a Clerk of Works or similar role, with a strong focus on residential construction projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, quality control standards, and relevant building regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve quality issues promptly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in using construction management software and tools for reporting and documentation.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
