Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and management of project budgets, cost estimates, and financial forecasts.
- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and prepare comprehensive bills of quantities.
- Monitor project costs, assess variations, and prepare regular cost reports for management.
- Collaborate with project teams, including architects and engineers, to ensure accurate cost management.
- Negotiate contracts and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepare tender documents and conduct feasibility studies for procurement processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards in quantity surveying practices.
- Mentor and provide leadership to junior quantity surveyors and support staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in quantity surveying, particularly in commercial, hotel, and residential projects.
- Strong expertise in construction processes, contract management, and cost control.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in quantity surveying software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Cantonese is a must.
- Chartered membership eg MRICS or MHKIS is a must.
