Our client, a leading organization, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Safety to join their team. This key leadership position will focus on developing and implementing in-house safety policies and programs to ensure the highest standards of health and safety across all construction projects.

 

Head of Safety - Client Side
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures tailored to the construction industry.
  • Lead the safety strategy and initiatives in alignment with organization goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct thorough safety audits and inspections on construction sites to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Create and deliver safety training programs for employees, subcontractors, and site personnel to promote a culture of safety.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate safety practices into project planning and execution.
  • Monitor safety performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management, highlighting areas for improvement.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and industry organizations regarding safety compliance and best practices.
  • Mentor and lead a team of safety officers and specialists to ensure effective safety management across all projects.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in safety management within the construction industry, with a proven track record of developing in-house safety policies.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Professional certifications such as RSO and RSA are must.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
