Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and implement safety policies and procedures on-site for new residential construction projects.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations.
- Identify potential hazards and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project managers and site teams to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Deliver safety training and orientation for site personnel and subcontractors.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and compliance reports.
- Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies and ensure all necessary permits and documentation are in place.
- Lead safety meetings and incident investigations, providing recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 12 years of experience in safety management, specifically with main contractors on new build residential projects.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
- Relevant qualifications in occupational health and safety (e.g. RSO)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage teams.
- Proven ability to assess risks and implement effective safety strategies.
- Both written and spoken English and Cantonese is a must.
