A prominent main contractor in Hong Kong, specializing in high-profile civil engineering projects is seeking for a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveying Manager. This role is ideal for someone with a strong civil engineering background and a passion for quantity surveying.

 

As the Assistant Quantity Surveying Manager, you will support the Quantity Surveying team in managing project costs and ensuring that all financial aspects of our projects are handled efficiently. You will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients.

Assistant Quantity Surveying Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of project budgets, cost estimates, and tender documents.
  • Conduct cost analyses and monitor project expenditures.
  • Support the management of subcontractor accounts and payments.
  • Prepare progress claims and final accounts.
  • Conduct site measurements and valuations.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure adherence to budget and timelines.
  • Assist in contract administration and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior quantity surveying staff.

Requirements:

                • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
                • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, with a strong civil background.
                • Membership of HKIS or RICS is a must.
                • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and practices.
                • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
                • Proficient in both writen and spoken English and Cantonese is preferred. 
                • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and solve problem individually.
